The Gift of Play

In her book “The gifts of Imperfection” Brene Brown has a whole chapter called ‘Cultivating Play and Rest’.

She quotes Dr Stuart Brown who describes how our biological need for play can transform our work. Brown argues that play is not an option. He writes the opposite of play is not work, the opposite of play is depression.
“Most important, true play that comes from our own inner needs and desires is the only path to finding lasting joy and satisfaction in our work. In the long run, work does not work without play.”
There is really so much to say about play but I can’t stay around, I have to dash off myself to play. Would really love you to join us at one of our retreats to hear more about the benefits of play.
